You have fragments.
Notes in your phone.
Half-drafted essays.
Lines you briefly loved.
A project that almost became something.
But nothing is finished. Nothing is placed.
The Pattern of Words is a class to explore taking the fragments of your writing and compiling them in a way that makes sense for the public. This could be in the form of a newsletter, a book, a book proposal, a zine, an analog newsletter, a poetry chapbook, an offering with clear edges. Not about making more content or filler, but taking what you’ve already dreamt up and giving it shape.

This is a writing class for artists, business owners, writers, herbalists, weirdos, activists, sex workers, witches, wizards, filmakers, painters, dancers, and everyone in between who wants to take their writing and shape it into something to be shared publicly (or privately but fully carved out)

Gathering The Fragments
We start with what already exists. You’ll bring your notes, drafts, voice memos, journal entries, everything.
We’ll map your material and begin to notice patterns:
What themes keep repeating?
What obsessions won’t leave you alone?
What belongs together?
You’ll leave with a clear body of material to work from.
